Please join us for the Opening Reception of the month-long exhibit of local artists Mackenzie Fischer and Jayden Shambeau.
There will be Artisan cheeseboards and Yahara Bay Distillers spirits sampling and cocktails served all day long!
Mackenzie started drawing at a young age: all through elementary and middle school she continued to grow in her love for the arts, animals and the outdoors. She dabbled in watercolor painting with her grandma and spent some weekend afternoons at her aunt’s house drawing with a big box of mismatched art supplies. In high school she crammed as many art classes into her schedule as she could manage: Ceramics, metal arts and jewelry, advanced painting and drawing as well as photography. Now, Mackenzie enjoys casually drawing pet portraits for those who desire to commission her, and paints for fun in her free time. Animals and nature have always been the center of her interests and inspiration; admiring such animators as Aaron Blaise who brings creatures to life in both animation and paintings. She strives to bring this type of life and storytelling into her own illustrations and paintings; sticking to a variety of mediums, dabbling in pen and ink, acrylic, charcoal, marker and digital, moving on to another whenever she’s saturated her time too much in one medium.
Jayden Shambeau has lived in Wisconsin her whole life. She attended Oconomowoc High School where she took as many art classes as she could; mainly focusing on acrylic paintings. She creates pieces of local landmarks and scenes of the town she lives, to be sold at galleries.
